for Individual Members, 2008-09
Governance. At their annual meeting, individual members will
elect representatives to the ATG Board of Directors. The number of
representatives will increase from two in 2007-08 to four in 2008-09. Special
meetings of the ATG membership may also be called by written request of 20% or
more of the individual members. Meetings of the ATG Board of Directors are open
to all individual members, who may participate in discussions though they may
not vote.
Website
and blog. Individual members may post their current theatrical
résumés, headshots, and contact information on the “Members” page of the ATG
website (www.abqtheatre.org). On the
“Other Notices” page, they may also announce theatre-related activities in which
they are taking part. Finally, they may read and post opinions on the ATG blog (www.atgforum.blogspot.com),
although this privilege is not limited to ATG members.
General auditions.
Individual members will receive priority scheduling at ATG general,
talent-showcase auditions. At these auditions, performers will exhibit their
abilities before an audience of representatives and directors from member
organizations.
Workshops.
Individual members will be invited to attend ATG workshops on different aspects
of performance, production, and theatre management.
Discounts.
Individual members will receive some discounts at performances and other events
sponsored by ATG member organizations. This program is still under development;
discounts will be announced on the ATG website as they become available.
Social
events. Last but not least, individual members may meet and mix with
colleagues from the greater
