Acting for Stage and Film I
Sundays June 2, 9, 16, 30, July 7, 14, 6:30-8:30 pm
Registration Fee $200
Minimum of 8 students required
Taught by Jack White in the ALT Rehearsal Room
Ages 18 and up
Description: This 6-week class will focus on truthful behavior through character development. Students will participate in scene study with an emphasis on character development. The class will rehearse and perform material live and on camera. The instructor and class will critique and review the work. The goal of the class is to prepare actors to perform truthfully in both mediums. They will learn and utilize techniques unique for the stage and the camera.
Acting for Stage and Film II
Sundays, July 21, 28, August 4, 11, 18, 25, 6:30-8:30 pm
Registration Fee $200
Minimum of 8 students required.

Ages 18 and up
Description: This is a continuation of ASF I. Students are required to have attended the first session to be enrolled in this session.
Expand Your Acting Techniques!
Saturdays June 1, 8, 15, 22, July 13, 9:00-11:00 am

Taught by Nancy Sellin in the ALT Rehearsal Room
Ages 18 and up
Description: This six session workshop is designed to take what you already know and make you better! Tried and true acting techniques drawing from the best: Meisner (Neighborhood Playhouse), Jehlinger (American Academy of Dramatic Arts), Jerzy Grotowski (Creator of Andre Gregory’s End Game), Lee Strasberg (Actors Studio), and Eric Morris. Using your body as your instrument, you will learn a variety of physical, mental, and emotional exercises to expand your awareness and enrich/deepen your imaginary circumstance. The final session will be a lecture-demo format held in front of an invited audience. It will be fun to do and fascinating to watch!

Play Builders Camp:
Monday-Friday June 3-14, 9:00 am-Noon
Ages: 7-11
Fee: $200.00
Description: Create an original play! Be part of a one-of-a-kind, never before seen original play, full of characters created by you and your fellow campers! It’s going to be a lot of fun and our show will be performed on ALT’s main stage on the last day of class for family and friends.
Musical Theatre Camps for Young Actors:
Camp 1: Monday-Friday June 17-28, 9:00 am-12:30 pm
Showcase: Saturday June 29, Time TBA
Camp 2: Monday-Friday July 8-19, 9:00 am-12:30 pm
Showcase: Saturday July 20, Time TBA
Ages: 8-17
Fee: $250.00
Description: Scenes and songs from famous musicals! The camps will include vocal and acting training and stage movement with scene work and songs from Peter Pan (Camp 1) and Roar of the Grease Paint, Smell of the Crowd (Camp 2). Each session will culminate with a showcase of the course work on ALT ‘s main stage. In charge of the training is Lou Ann Graham, director of the ALT Conservatory with select instructors.
Let’s Put On a Play:
Mondays and Wednesdays, June 17 through July 24, 1:00-4:00 pm
Ages: 8-17
Fee: $300.00
Description: Perform on ALT’s main stage! This camp will produce one of Bill Hayden’s (playwright and founder of Albuquerque Children’s Theatre) delightful plays. Learn all about what goes into putting on a play by doing it!
Once Upon a Play:
Monday-Friday July 29 through August 8, 9:00 am-12:00 pm
Ages: 8-12
Fee: $200.00
Description: Be in a brand new play! Participants will learn basic acting skills as they rehearse and perform one of Kate Murphy Sanchez’s original plays. Play will be showcased on ALT’s main stage!

Class: Cabaret Work Shop
In this popular, performance-based class students will work on their singing and song interpretation skills. The class culminates with a performance at the Conservatory Night on July 20 at 2:00 pm.
