$10,000 in Grants Awarded To Albuquerque Theatre Groups
November 28, 2011
A generous live-theatre patron has awarded a total of $10,000 to 23 Albuquerque-area non-profit theatre groups. The gifts can be used toward production costs, projects that upgrade a venue or performance space, or for office equipment and supplies. The Albuquerque Theatre Guild (ATG) acted as go-between for the donor, who wishes to remain anonymous.
“We applaud the extraordinary generosity shown by this local lover of live theatre, who wanted to spread that generosity around as widely among the applicants as possible,” says Ray Orley, President of the ATG. “The donor does not wish to disclose the amount of each award. The ATG was honored to have been chosen to facilitate the application process, and was not in any way involved in the selection of recipients, which were both ATG members and non-members.”
