ATG Receives Grant from NM Tourism Department
The Albuquerque Theatre Guild has been awarded a Coop Marketing Grant from the NM Tourism Department to help get the word out about the great live theatre scene in Albuquerque. Specifically the grant is for a campaign to get people from outside the Albuquerque area to: PLAN A DAY TO SEE A PLAY IN ALBUQUERQUE.
The campaign will use on-line coop advertising on the Albuquerque Convention and Visitors Bureau website http://www.itsatrip.org, radio spots on KUNM, and a flyer to be distributed around the state and to convention groups coming to Albuquerque and it will include a map of showing our member theatre venues. According the ATG Buzz Committee chair Linda López McAlister, “This is ATG’s first major attempt to spread the word about theatre in Albuquerque to tourists and visitors. We think they are a great untapped market and if they know what great theatre we have here, they’ll want to attend. We very much appreciate the NM Tourism Department’s strong support. They have given us a page on their website and now have gotten behind us with this campaign.”
The advertising will begin in September and distribution of flyers will continue throughout the year. For information contact .
