ATG Web Site Member Posting Policies

POSTING POLICIES FOR THE ATG WEBSITE:

A Privilege of Membership

The Albuquerque Theatre Guild’s Web Committee has produced these policies as a starting point for the use of the new self-posting website.  We ask you to abide by them as best you can and to report back any suggestions or problems they raise for you.

ATG Member Theatres are entitled to post information relating to live theatre in the greater Albuquerque area on the ATG web site.  They may post notices of performances, auditions, events, and notices to the Call Board.  For this purpose, each Member Theatre Representative will receive instructions on how to do your initial log in to the website with a temporary password, enabling access to the posting forms.  You will be instructed how to change the password to one of your choosing. While the security of your password is the representative’s responsibility, it may well be shared with the person in your organization who actually handles publicity, etc., but it should be understood that the password should not be widely released.

ATG Individual Members are entitled to post information relating to live theatre in Greater Albuquerque on the Call Board section of the ATG website.  They will each have a Personal Profile page where they can provide information, biographical data and upload a photo and their resume if they so desire.  (They may also opt out of appearing on the Individual Members page list by contacting the web master and so requesting). Instructions for posting by Individual Members are available here.

GENERAL POLICIES:  Every notice posted on the ATG website should avoid, when possible, use of profane language.  Spellings should be carefully checked. Individual Members and Member Theatres should, from time to time, check ALL the places on the website where you have posted information (i.e., the headings below), so that information is not out of date.  What you post reflects on all of us.  NOTE: the webmaster will periodically monitor the website and has the authority to block any postings he/she deems inappropriate due to profane language, excessive misspellings, or other problems. The webmaster may, but is not required to, notify the poster by email about actions taken to correct a problem.

ORGANIZATION INFORMATION:  Under Members/ Member Organizations a list of members may be found.  By entering information (see Website Posting Instructions for Member Theatres), each Member Theatre can create a link from this list to your website (or to your page on the ATG website, if your theatre has no website of its own).

PERFORMANCES: Member Theatres may list current and planned performances by entering the information in the form, accessed with the password.

AUDITIONS: Member Theatres may list auditions by entering the information in the form, accessed with the password.

EVENTS: Member Theatres may post events, which are not themselves theatrical performances but include one-day occasions open to the general public, such as fundraisers, benefits, parties, etc., as well as theatre festival notices This is not the place for workshops, for example, or anything that is available to members only; those should go on the Call Board.

CALL BOARD: Member Theatres and Individual Members may post to the Call Board items related to live theatre and/or of interest to members of the theatre community, in the following categories:

  • Announcements:  meetings to take place, calls for plays, etc.
  • Actors’ Circle: information about the ATG Actors’ Circle.
  • Directors’ Circle: information about the ATG Directors’ Circle.
  • Playwrights’ Circle: information about the ATG Playwrights’ Circle.
  • Production Circle: information about the ATG Production Circle.
  • Youth Theatre Circle: information about the ATG Youth Theatre Circle.
  • Workshops/Lessons: e.g., voice lessons, acting classes.  Must be led by an ATG member or be of particular interest to members.
  • Members in the Spotlight: reviews and noteworthy activities of ATG Individual Members or ATG Member Organizations.  Since only Member Organizations can post under Performances, this is where Individual Members post their performance-related activities.  Organizational Members can also post non-performance or event activities.  Examples:
    • Rachel Kaub performs Friday in a Laugh-a-Thon at the Harwood Arts Center…
    • The Vortex Theatre was named “Best of Burque” for live theatre in 2008.
    • John Doe’s PlayWorks will hold auditions for “Lord of the Flies” on March 23.
  • Opportunities to Get Involved: volunteer opportunities at our member theatres.
  • For Sale or Donation/Wanted:  Items being sought or sold/donated.
  • Employment Opportunities: paid positions related to or of particular interest to the theatre community.

INDIVIDUAL MEMBER RESUME: Individual Members may post their resumes, but should bear in mind that the material they post is available to the public so only post information you are comfortable with being made public.

FEATURES SECTION ON THE HOME PAGE:  Items for placement here would normally be time-sensitive items of interest to the theatre community that are worthy of special attention.  Such items cannot be self-posted and should be sent to the .
