The Greek god Dionysus has returned to the modern world disguised as butch gardener Diane, here to gather mortal followers and restore the earth to its natural state. Her first stop is a cul-de-sac in Red Bank, New Jersey, where she'll need all her supernatural abilities to seduce four friends who all want something different from her.

Bridget S. Dunne, director, has previously directed She Kills Monsters and Lysistrata at the Vortex. Also an actor, they have appeared as Puck in A Midsummer Night's Dream, Lizzie in Pride and Prejudice, Judy in The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time and in many other roles for Mother Road, the Vortex, the Adobe Theatre and New Mexico Shakespeare Festival. About Hurricane Diane, they said, "This play is such an unusual mix of reality and fantasy. One minute it had me laughing, the next – I was stunned by the honesty of it."
This production features Wendy Scott, Caroline Toby Graham, María Teresa Herrera, Colyn Morris and Celeste Lee.
